Names of Concealed Handgun Permit holders are NOT public record.
If you are interested in applying for a Concealed Handgun Permit from the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office, please read and follow the following instructions carefully:
1. Obtain a Concealed Handgun Permit Application by:
Downloading and printing our Concealed Handgun Permit Application or
Picking up an application at the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office located at 2960 Dory Hill Road – Suite 300, Black Hawk, CO 80422 or
By calling (303) 582-1060 and requesting an application be sent to you.
If you choose to download the application, please download and read the Concealed Handgun Permit Information Packet thoroughly. It provides all the information you need to know to complete your application.
2. Call (303) 582-1060 to schedule an appointment to bring the completed application to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office.
3. The following must be included with your application:

Copy of handgun training certificate or evidence of other qualified training (see Concealed Handgun Permit Information Packet)

Cash, check or money order for $152.50 made payable to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office.

Proof of residency.
